actually john flemming suggested i contact you as you have (very kindly) put my blog in your blog roll --- but Blogger has just locked the blog.
as i posted a while back, i've cunningly had a back-up blog waiting in the wings for this eventuality, with everything backed up from the old blog from 2006 on ...
